This “Little Giant” of a wine has a rich, mouth-filling flavor dominated by raspberry, boysenberry, and mulberry fruit, along with rose petal and violet floral and spice notes. Though the amount of Calera clone Pinot Noir in this year's cuvée is lower than usual, it dominates the nose and palate of the wine, while the PN115 rounds out the mid-palate and texture. Petit Géant is not only powerful, but seductive and layered, seamless. Petit Géant is the continuation of the original La Bête cuvée which is paired in opposition to La Belle, from softer, rounder Pommard clone grown on Block 23.
