Shipping Policies

State Restrictions:

We cannot ship to Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Indiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Rhode Island, or Utah due to state laws. Most wines can be shipped to Louisiana, except those distributed to restaurants and wine shops there. For compliance questions, please contact our team.

Order and Delivery Requirements:

You and your recipient must be at least 21 years old. An adult signature is required at delivery. We cannot ship to P.O. boxes. For convenience, consider shipping to a business address.
Delivery times are estimated and may be delayed due to carrier issues or events beyond our control.

Order Processing:

Orders are reviewed for compliance before activation. You will receive a confirmation email once your order is processed. If additional information is needed, we will reach out by phone or email.

Shipping Carriers:

UPS is our primary carrier; FedEx is available upon request.
Once shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
Delivery Attempts

Carriers typically make three delivery attempts before returning the package.
If unavailable, contact the carrier to reschedule, hold at a service location, or redirect within the same state. If returned, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment; additional charges may apply.

Carbon Neutral Shipping:

Since 2020, all shipments are 100% carbon offset through renewable energy investments.

Shipping Limitations:

State laws may limit the amount we can ship. If your order exceeds state limits, we will contact you.
We only ship within the United States. For international inquiries, email shipping@linguafranca.wine.

Weather Restrictions:

We do not ship via ground during periods of extreme heat or cold. Expedited shipping (2-Day or Overnight) is available during these times; otherwise, we will hold your order until safe to ship.
We monitor temperatures to minimize weather risks, but cannot guarantee against all weather changes. If your wine arrives damaged, please contact us.

Warehouses:

Orders ship from Oregon or Ohio for faster delivery. Ground shipping typically takes 2–3 business days. For specific delivery dates, select expedited shipping or contact us.

Returns:

Wine not shipped according to our temperature recommendations is not eligible for return.
We will replace or refund any damaged, flawed, or unsatisfactory wine. For assistance, email shipping@linguafranca.wine.
If your package is visibly damaged, keep it in the original packaging and contact us promptly.

Gift Orders:

Please notify recipients when gifting wine, as adult signatures are required.
Providing the recipient’s email allows them to receive tracking information (not required for business or apartment addresses with reception/security).
Payment information will only be sent to the billing contact.
